The Australians came on and withstood a Banzai charge be an entire Japanese company. My heart skipped a beat during the replay when they ALL stood up.
The AT gun though poor shots stood up to repeated assaults and eventaully, undermanned, took out the last Japanese tank. At that point they grabbed the rifles and SMG lying about and prepared to fall back on less exposed positions. (A Vickers HMG crew initially had stacked with them but pinned early. They fell back to rally and had actually regained good order and were set to cover the AT crew's retreat.)
The loss of all AFV's meant Pat had to take all objectives, not really possible, so we called it 4 turns early. |
