The German player squandered his resources by allowing his armor to be destroyed piecemeal. The attacker used combined arms skills to overcome each fixed enemy position and take out all the enemy armor.
The French do not have to take all the victory hexes to win the game, as long as they surround and destroy each pocket of German units as they drive down the map.

The keys to this one were securing the forward ridge first and then storming the German onclave at Gramachelli. The shermans caried the day as acurate fire decimated his infantry first with follow-up damage to his panzers. In the endgame the situation became critical as digging out the panzers proved difficult at the VP locations. In the end a well placed smoke over the 350 point hex held against the final German counterattack! Kudo's to my opponent for playing hard and defensive in this one!

I was the Finn, attacking the Russians. New at this game, so my attacks were not very well coordinated, as I didn't clearly understand what I could and could not accomplish. Pushed pretty much straight in. Got next to enough objectives to win the game, but was pushed back in the end.
