Dennis overwhelmed the hapless defenders in the south in short order. He did however, have some difficulties getting his bridges up in the north and bought me some time.
My main preoccupation was blowing bridges as fast as possible across the Clerf and Wiltz rivers.
Eventually there was a clash of armor in the north, but the heavy German armor made quick work of the Shermans. We fell back around to where the Clerf is crossable as a stream and ground his offensive to a halt.
Despite having blown the bridges at Clervaux, he was able to get engineers up to support an assault across the river on his final turn. The American arty was not up to the task of disrupting the Germans and the overwhelming weight of German arty was able to disrupt all the defenders in the town, making the assault a success.
Either way the Germans had been slowed and the game ended in a Minor German defeat - with or without Clervaux. I would have still liked to hold it though. |

was a balanced scenario he destroy some of my forces i lost one of the 250 victory location in the centrer of the map and i lost some of my forces on my left flank by encirclement i tried to relived them but the moral of the axis forces there were high i could relive my troops so i pull back the rest a set up a defence on the left then i took a 100 point victory location on the north of the map my forces there were a big stronger i hold that victory location up to the end and conterattack on my right flank so i gain control of the 250 vicory location lost early in the game
was a fun game |

my opponent surrendered after I trapeed and destroyed his Infantry divisions. this is a hard scenario for the Germans if they rush towards Smolensk and not recon before they rush inthey leave themselves open to be isolateded and destroyed. |
