The scenario is probably too dependant on the entrance of the Russian KV1. In this game, The Russian AT Gun soon destroyed the German tank, but the German flamethrower tank took care of the Russian infantry. The KV1 did not arrive until the last turn and lacking its support the Russians were not able to stop the armored flamethrower. |

Toze plays well, using the AFV to freezee the Yugoslavian positions and cut retreat paths, and infantry to moping up the resistance nests. However, VC were so hard for the Hungarian that, despite we are using Hungarian balance, finally he end short from his objectives. What could be an interesting and funny scenario is impaired by his unbalanced nature (actually 35 to 6 at the ROAR).

A very fun scenario, with a group of Americans trying to clear a German strongpoint amist the bocage. Steve advance steady and be able to sorround the last german position, a Bunker were the surviving Germans hide waiting the oncoming assault. There, a 9-1, unable to keep his temple shot himself and his men broke. Well balanced, It was decided on the last CC of the last turn.

This scenario is said to be unbalanced in favor of the American side. Probably it is. The main problem as the attacker is all the defenders are HIP. But having a lot of time to accomplish the goal, I advanced to the buildings looking for cover and trying to risk just some HS in order to make the Germans reveal their positions. When the Germans where weakened, I just have to rush for the two buildings I had to take overwhelming with numbers the surviving Germans. |

As German don’t try to stay and fight the Australians… Remember the scenario name and… run! Use vehicular dust, light dust, motion… Your panzers are more fast… I be able to exit all the tanks and the lone infantry only suppose 39 VP. Also Txema was really unlucky, as he drew two red cards with the OBA, and the only hit that he get was to no effect vs a rear turned turret after a 5.6 was roll. However, with a little luck (or with a tank kill) the scenario could change drastically. A good desert scenario.

Mark opened the game with a thrust with almost all his forces, except a PzIV, trough the village. As I expected an advance on the south and I have only my infantry and a lone M36 defending this route. The first impressions were dark for me, mainly because in one of the first shoots Mark scored a CH on a house that lodge my 8-1 an squad and the MMG, that results in a cr for the squad and a ELR in the subsequent MC. But then begin my luck in this game, when Mark malfunction two guns, one Panther and one PzIV. Also, the M36 in the village, just before burns hit by a PF, score a UK on a second Panther that finally become a confirmed kill. My two Stuarts die fighting a PzIV and a Panther, but one Sherman could run behind the Germans, killing on the run the Stg III with a CH. On turn 3, Mark try a bold move laying a smoke screen and charging the route covered by the remaining M 36. But a chain of very low rolls, with ROF, led to the destruction of the only Panther with functioning gun and the PzIV without gun. After three HT fell to a MG shot, a Baz shot and a M36, Mark realizes that He don’t have enough VP to exit, and resigns. A very good scenario, a very good game and a very good opponent.

My debut in the sands of the desert! Jesús face me a line abreast defense with his panzers, but he was not luck on the hail of fire that falls on my guys on turn one, and in my second turn I was able to close to him for finally outflank on turn 3. Ironically the most fierce opponent to my Stuarts was a lone, defiant PzKpw II that shocks one Stuart and destroy another...On German turn 3, I earn up to 42VP and the game was over...

Nice game to play german setup is dispersed through all the board so american can go through german defenses as a knife, german defense has to be enough flexible to move his units to stop or slow the american progres.
6 turns is enough time to cross the board unless you are shaken by the german 88 antiaircraft guns and the place to hide thouse guns is very important , my oponent decided to place it near the exit hexes to shoot them.
To cross the board you can choose a double envelop or you can trie a center way, I decided this option because I dont like to divide my forces, this strategi proved right I could divide german forces in two that gived me time and strength to win the scenario.
First turn was not very good, I had 2 units broken, second turn entered the reinforcements, turn 3 was a very good turn I took the desition of risking against a concealed unit, wich proved to be a dummy so my progress was good, turn 4 arrived altmost to the end of board and manage to go against a 88 gun with a HS in melee, the other 88 gun cost me much more as I had to risk some units to clear that gun turn 6 was easy just place a smoke counter and moving out of board. |

Fist of all this scenario seems to be unvalanced as the roar says its 20 for polish 8 for germans, but this should be no escuses for this game wich did not last untill the end, Maybe my setup as a german was wrong, (maybe I should have setup more in advance or maybe I should setup at the back waiting for the german reinforcements and try to take back the territory lost at the beguining.
The territory to defend is bad, there is not many hexes of open ground to fire at, this allows the polish to advance fast out of german shoots, and reach altmost untouched to the german defenses and ambushing the germans. besides this is the great outnumbering the polish has against the germans you´ll have a strange scenario. If I would play it now I would have setup far away from polish trying to delay as much as posible his advance until reinforcements came.

I have to admit that this was a really lucky game. Pedro start cautious and move to 2 hex of my forces, ready to strike in the turn 2, but in the italian Turn 1 NVR changed to 2, and I could fire several flares. This fact disrupt Pedro's plans, and slowed his moves. However, on turn 2 he captured an ELRd conscript Italian squad with the 7-0 (ELRd to 6+1 too!). But on his turn 3, my 9-2 leader get a several lucky shots with the MMG that breaks nearly half british forces, geting several CR by double breaks. Finally, on italian turn 3, a Hip group, 2 squads and the 8-1 leader, joint with a thirth squad, advance against a pin british squad ambushing, kill them, and freeing the italian POWs. With only 3 squads and 1 leader GO and facing a counteratack that prevents that Pedro leave DM's, he finally surrenders on turn 4.

nothing whent right from the beguining for this scenario, my strategy was to get as closer to italians as posible and kil them in CC, (found out this tactic has the problem of a very lucky enemy), unfortunetly as I was at range 2 rdy to am and CC, NVR changed to 2 so my enemy could fire at me with some lucky shoots rof included that killed altmost half of the british forces, in this situation, he moved agrresively killing altmost all my order of battle. surrendering was not a deshonorable option. |

This has been my first night scenario, set up my russian units, in the front most part of my deployment, with enough open ground to make good shots at my enemies, deployed the stronger part of my squads in bouth sides of the board leaving the dummys in the center, but with the leaders with as much visibility as posible to see enemy units, I must say, luck has been on my side, cause he entered on the west side where I had a strong defense and some units with enough visibility to be able to move as soon as his units where uncloaked, besides my enemy made a bad use of his cloaked counters, in my opinion, first night scenario also for him.

The most important thing in this scenario is how the american deploy and hides his hip Guns, in this game he allowed me to deploy the german infantery in the house in front of the bridge, and tried to kill my phanzer with his guns, no great succes, he should have tried to kill my sdkfz instead, afterwards broke the american squads and crossed the bridge easily then wait to the american reinforces to show up and killed them.

Difficult to win with the Russians. I finally could take the hill but at cost of many casualties, that give to the German enough points to win. However, this is a exciting scenario.

Arnau launched an all out assault on the hill that almost wipe out my entire infantry force and give him the control of the hill. However he paid a high price in AFV that finally gave me the victory. A tense and exciting game. |
