Everything was actually going okay for my side (the Bulgarians). Managed to cross all that open space on board 4 without getting hurt too bad, taking into account that my mortar couldn't hurt a fly. Got close to the finish line, but....
It helps if your troops can actually hit their targets. I think I only broke or pinned maybe 2 or 3 partisan squads the entire scenario. The partisans were doing just as poorly, until turn 7 when all but 5 squads broke and couldn't rally on turn 8. I was going to need at least 8 squads in good order to finish. Still, I had a good time. |
