I can honestly say I have no reservations recommending this game. As long as you like fantasy-based RPGs, you will be pleased. The game is nearly flawless. It is the game that saved 2009, as far as I am concerned.

The game so far is awesome. Dragon Age plays a lot like NWN2 in my opinon, and that's great because I loved that game.

Well they just sucked $50 out of my pocket for this one - damn Steam! Too easy to order the game. Download is taking forever, though.

This just seems like a poorly made hack and slash to me. Even the graphics and animation are mediocre for 2009, not that that makes a game, just stating.

I completely disagree. It is anything but a poorly made hack and slash. In fact, one of the things that is really hooking me is how tactically challenging the combat is. You can't just run up to an opponent and start hacking, like in WoW, but need to carefully coordinate the actions of all your party members if you are going to win a battle (the game is so punishing that the first patch was to make the "easy" difficulty easier!!!).

As for the graphics, they look just fine to me with the game running smoothly without any stuttering. I'll take that over cutting edge graphics any day.

My only real complaint with the game so far is that I am a little disappointed with the loot. It seems like most of the loot you find is the same stuff that can be had from any merchant. Where's all the cool weaponry and armor that you can brag about finding?

You are so very wrong in that statement. Once you play it you will realize it is not a hack and slash.

This is the most immersive plot in a computer game I've ever played. The cut scenes really get you into the story. Your actions influence how party members view you and the tactics options are diverse (and necessary to win battles).

Not really sure what you are looking for in a RPG, but this is the farthest thing from a "poorly made hack and slash" that I have played.

Sorry, we didn't mean to pile on. We're just all DA:O cultists at this point.

The trailers were your typical high octane eye candy; don't judge the game by that. I hope to have a review posted by tomorrow, so stay tuned.
