24 hours later, and it is off preorder already... Ordered anyway (what's 4 bucks between friends).

Wish this would have gone into the "main" folder; I missed this.

still available at preorder price -- from the description
we thought we'd give everyone the week or two to pick up a copy at the preorder 25% discount!
In any case Michael, I don't see why you're so disappointed, it's not like you'd be playing the scenarios anyway.

Silly rabbit, you can't add other products onto a pre-order. You now have 2 orders - the map will be shipped immediately though.

That makes sense. But this does not.

That is pretty unambiguous. The cost of shipping the items is $8.15. The total cost is $26.15.

Then I paid, and the total cost became $34.30.

Now I know, and I won't make the mistake again. But MMP? You can't do that, guys. You cannot change the total price after someone enters payment on a given total.

This is explained in various points during the checkout process, once briefly during the please wait message, and also in the e-mail confirmations. A mixed order is split into separate orders, one containing all in-stock product, and one each for every pre-order item. The shipping is re-calculated when payment is finalized. The alternative would be to not allow pre-order and in-stock product mixing like the old site.

Again, your card is only charged for the in-stock items and the shipping on those in-stock items (and generally will be lower than what you see above). Your card will be charged for the pre-order product when it is available as well as the shipping on the pre-order items because it is a separate shipment.

    Hope this clears things up.

I could line a bird cage with them for all the business it is of yours.

I never said I was disappointed. I merely pointed out I am presuming that the available pre-orders sold out fast - less than 24 hours.

EDIT - went through the process again - it does still charge the pre-order price. The actual cost was trivial to me, as indicated above, so I never paid attention the first time. Guess I was confused by the "preorder number reached" message. It suggested to me that the higher price would be charged.

Nicely done MMP! My only nitpick has been raised already in this thread. Sucks paying 66% of the cost of the product in shipping charges. I know there is always the option of Gamer's Armory and the like, but geesh I'd like to support the hand that feeds.

Well in all fairness it's not MMPs fault, it's the US Post Office, I am not sure who is regulating the US PO, does anyone know if its the government or are they their own self contained form of government?

They act like a form of government perhaps that is why they go postal?

I'm confused. It's on preorder, and continues to be. Is the "New Product" or "Featured Product" status what's confusing?

It's an honest question, as I do want to make the catalog easier to navigate.
