Jean-Luc, this would be a 'medieval recreationist' outfit, similar to 'living history' groups http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmeston_Medieval_Village

Basically, an opportunity to spend more money than ya have, and use up all your 'online' time and such.....in an effort to 'grow bruises'...

In order to engage in combat, one first has to get armored, then know how to use 'period' weapons at a 1x1 scale....then learn to take hurt as a 'one each' style...

Something both my son and myself did, starting 20-30 years ago depending on which one of us your talking about...

I will propose you the following

for the round one of the tournament, I may realize a What if scenario

"What if De Gaulle May 40"
From 13th of May up to the 5th of June / one day turn /23 turns
mostly Division level

It will begin the 13th of May when French army is on contact with German troops in Belgium and will finish the 5th June where the Fall ROT plan occured in real life. The attack in the Ardennes will be realized the same !!


French units will have better units better coordination more modern tanks (R40 FCM40 (FCM36 with 37mm gun model 1938) more US airplanes , but do not expect a change in strategy the Breda move will be canceled but not the Dyle maneuver.

Even if De Gaulle was abble to modernize the units the global strategy and the blindness of High Quarter will be mostly the same !!! It is a "what if" not an "impossible utopia"

So as German you must crush the allies forces before the 5th of June

For the allies you must avoid the destruction of your force, avoid the Dunkirik evacuation by permitting your troops to leave Belgium moslty by train move thought the Lille area and later through roads following the Channel coast and with all their heavy weapons,
Or if your are lucky enough stop the Germans, but it will be a tricky one as the Allies in Belgium won't be authorized to move back before the 17th. It will let 4 turn for Germans to run to the sea.

Hummm I feel it well, I will use an already existing map . I have 90% of the OOB

It is not like the other scenarios I already designed, there are few events to set.

The end of round 3 is probably for end of this year so it let me 6 month to furbish it
There are not 40 turns and thousands of units.

I think it is possible to manage it in time

Considering that this ladder has 29 active players, I am not THAT surprised. Actually I think 23/29 is awfully good. Not everybody plays in tournaments (I for instance don't).

Yeah, I was pretty shocked to see what the numbers had dwindled to on the ladder of players that had completed a game in the last year...
