Has anyone ordered from HOB recently

I saw someplace someone was having a problem with an order from HOB and I was wondering if anyone has ordered lately from them? Any problems?

I am thinking about getting another copy of the replacement counters but I don't know if they are still in business. The fact that the website goes in and out does not help my confidence

I placed an order with HOB in March, which has not been fulfilled yet. Because PayPal only gives you a 45 day window to open a dispute, if I haven't received my item by this coming Friday or so I will open a dispute with PayPal to resolve the issue or get a refund.

I will say that in the past I've had excellent response from Steve Dethlefsen/HoB, so I'm going on the assumption that this is just a temporary snafu/mixup.

There has been a smattering of 'you guys still functioning?' posts the last few months. Their silence really says nothing, but I recommend ordering from someone like Noble Knight Games or The Gamer's Armory. You'll know from their website that they actually have the product in stock and your wait will be 4-5 days and not 45+; plus, if you have a problem, someone will respond to you. Unfortunately I don't think that either of the above resources carry the replacement counters.

The silence makes ordering direct from Heat of Battle a significant risk. Not only the silence, but the growing number of posts here and elsewhere with "I ordered 2-3 months ago, but no product has arrived". Order at your own risk, or better, as regularjoe suggests above, order via an independent retailer who has their product in stock.

I have been in contact with Steve ( Monday of last week ) and he indicated to me that the items I purchased would be sent out on Tuesday and I should have them shortly. I don't think that silence on their web site indicates trouble in Paradise but time will tell. In any event I have always had great response times from order to delivery.

An update. I recieved my order today from HOB. Considering the Holiday weekend etc. I don't think that there was much delay from order to delivery.

Am hoping to receive my Kreta soon. Ordered on Feb 11th, finally heard from him on April 11th, that it was going out next day.

We are still here and some small glitches. I am on the road three weeks out of the month since last October. Things are smoothing out now. I am caught up on all orders and restructuring of the business.
