    Website:

    http://kansascityairport.place.hyatt...lace/index.jsp

Structured format, select from a group of scenarios each round, a new scenario pack developed by club members will also be available for play.

March Madness moves to an new location in Missouri this year. The hotel is newly remodeled, with an on site resaurant and big rooms. We got a special rate (main reason we moved), just tell them you are with advanced squad leader group. Close to the airport with a shuttle service, also close to Zona Rosa shopping center. Here is a link to the center:

The game room opens at 1000 on Friday, and the first competitive tournament round should be played Friday afternoon. Players will be matched as they arrive, with the second round played at 7PM on Friday. Hopefully this will make Saturday a more relaxed game day with only two rounds.

We'll have distinctive T-Shirts again this year, they are available for pre-order at $15 for all sizes. Reserve when you register or buy at the door (while supplies last). Please make checks payable to Dan Best and mail to P.O. Box 3643, Olathe, KS 66063 for early registration. For more information contact Dan Best DJBest30 at aol.com, or Paul Works paul.works at us.army.mil or Tom Meier meiertom at hotmail.com

    Hope to see you there!

    Engineer Boy here. . .

What does "Unstructured format, select from a group of scenarios" mean?

Does it mean there is some structure because the attendees are expected to select from a group of scenarios?

Or does it mean a group of scenarios will be provided (as suggestions) but there is no structural requirement to play those scenarios?

Or does it mean something else?

My understanding is that Dan went to the hotel, flashed his FEMA credentials, threatened to declare the hotel a Federal disaster area, and actually brought in the FEMA "SWAT" team for backup ... after which, the hotel manager agreed that the rate would need to be "adjusted slightly".

It means it wasn't written by an engineer!

There is some structure because there will be a list with themed rounds and you will be matched by win/loss record. Other than that there is not much structure...

When they were done laughing at my FEMA credentials...they threw me out! We had to send in the Army to seal the deal. Lucky the Army has good negotiators...
