Number of Gurads SMG Counters

I'm setting up Scenario 16, "South of Warsaw" from Road to Berlin. It calls for a total of 9 Guards SMG counters (6 in the start force, 3 in the reinforcements) but I only have 8 Guards SMG counters. How many Guard SMGs are there in RtB? Are there any more in other modules? I can't seem to find any more.

Your counter manifest is correct, there are only 8 Guards SMG counters in Road to Berlin. I checked my lists and do not see any other Guards SMG's in any other modules. My suggestion is to use one of the RKKA SMG's and remove it as the first Guards SMG platoon eliminated. That won't take too long as SMG platoons are designed to get "up close and personal" in the shortest possible period of time!

This won't be the first time that you'll encounter a counter shortage in the Panzer Grenadier universe. Most of the time you'll only be short one or two counters and will have (roughly) equivalent units available to make up the difference. These scenarios are not deal breakers for me but YMMV.
