    Operations

Has anyone devised a set of "house rules" or a manual system in order to get Operations to work the way they should? The redraw front lines feature of Operations in CM is great, but so often doesn't do what the designer wants it to.

It's such a shame they never let us import save game files into the editor and allow us to fully manipulate them - what a breeze it would have been to make free-form campaigns.

I am thinking there has to be a way to "manually" redraw front lines and get Operations to work, the way, say, Historical ASL does, but the drawback would be that you can't place knocked out vehicles in the editor, nor damaged buildings/shellholes.

Has anyone attempted such a thing anyway?

With the demise of CM:C, I guess I'll bump this.

Check out Jason C's 10x10 campaign system. I played under it and it worked great.
