Favourite Letters to the Editor from the Old ASL Annuals

    My fave:

The "grognard" from Albany in the '91 Annual who demanded release of any PTO modules wait until after Croix de Guerre, Doomed Battalions, and Armies of Oblivion all saw print first. After all, Japanese vs. Chinese scenarios could never be any fun.

Guess "Code of Ho" shouldn't see a 1st Ed. until this year.

    What's yours?

I liked the one from the brothers, I think, who had some sort of '8-1' club/fetish and had developed House Rules for handling them. Really any letter that was brimming and/or dripping with enthusiasm for the Game!

Also the exchange, in the letters column, about the IFT/iIFT.

Also anything from someone I still recognize from this forum.

The complaint you mention, Portal, also reminds me of my other favorite compaint (or is this in the same letter?) about how all of the new box cover art is un-realistic.

I thought mine printed in ASL '90 had panache. I chided the editor for spelling piobaireachd incorrectly in the piper SMC rules (ASL '89?) and managed to spell piobaireachd incorrectly myself.

How can you tell if you misspell that word anyway?

Sounds like that Harry Potter kid, in that London play where he gets naked and kills horses.

    OK, too far off topic.

    Pitman, help!
