I'm currently playing Pegasus Bridge CG and also participating in the 2nd Ranger Brittany campaign (the GSASL group) at Brest. I'm having a fun time.![]()

Playing:
Currently Lt Williams is racing through the woods and villages around Brittany trying to cut off the German retreat with the 2nd Ranger GSASL campaign. Have picked up a few goodies left behind as the ENEMY retreats! (Paullus listed the address above).
Currently Maj Villiams is resting after the Panzers of his Kampfgruppe tangled with strong Russian elements who were trying to seize a key road through the region near Stalingrad, with the KGSASL group (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/kgsasl/).
Currently, Sgt Steiner is throwing a party for his men before they depart for a year-long push into Mother Russia, a traditional SASL CG.
Working on:
A combined British & Greek GSASL CG centred around Crete.
Refining Red Barricades as a SASL CG.
A top secret project, sshh!![]()
Looking for:
Anyone who plays SASL to talk to and cook up ideas with.

I have version 2 and quite honestly it's not a module that I've gotten into. I just don't have the patience for it but I'm sure I'll kick myself when I'm 80 for selling it so I just keep it with all the other stuff I'm not playing like:Originally Posted by thedrake

I'm returning to ASL after a10+ year hiatus.
Last night I set up "Guards Counterattack" just to run through the ASOP and refamiliarize myself with the rules.
I'm hoping to play some SASL soon. Specifically Todd Hively's "Hoch! Hoch!" from ASL Journal 3 has really interested me.
I'm wondering how interesting a combination of HOB's Firefight conept with a SASL mission would be...![]()
Working on 4x missions for VotG. Just finished some rules tweaks after my latest playtest, lots of brainstorming w/ good results. I like where it's headed, should be fun missions.
Current mission is "The Ferry Landings"- name says it, fighting along the riverbank for the ferry landings and the buildings that overwatch them- the Brewery, State Bank, Specialists Houses. Played as the Germans first go-round, had one depleted Rifle Coy and one Reinforced Rifle Coy, both w/ attached assault platoons, one StuG-G Pltn and Stuka support. My depletion rolls for SW sucked on the depleted Coy, lost everything but one LMG (which hurts- the Germans want HMGs/MMGs/MTRs to interdict the Ferry landings). This meant having to actually capture some of the Ferrys, along with all five of the overwatch buildings. The attack went well center and south, capturing the 3x southern buildings (Specialist House et al); northwards the State Bank was tougher, and a 5-2-7 holding out in the cellar was chewing me up in CC. The Brewery (northernmost building) was the vipers nest, with no less than 5x NKVD squads (6-2-8s) and a bunch of militia (4-2-6s) along with 2x Commissars, all supported by KV-1!!! Very nasty fight, lost one of my StuG-Gs there, but with the help of a 9-2 and assault troops (incl flammenwerfer) managed to push the Soviets back. Russians were counterattacking from the south towards the Spec House supported by a KV-1, which ended up trading shots w/ my third StuG-G, and both just kept bouncing shots off their frontal armor. One of my Stukas mistakenly attacked my own dudes (ouch!)....crunch. Anyways, my VPO tally had me slightly behind and the Guards were arriving across the river just in time to keep me away from the landing stage...damn!
FUN!
I already have playtesters lined up waiting for me, I just need to get off my a** and get moving.

Hey Tom,
that is very good news indeed! Knowing that modules are going to be supported with SASL missions is a big plus for me in deciding which ones to pre-order / buy first. VotG just climbed to the top of my list :-) Many thanks for the sneak preview,
Paul
