After a month playing Oblivion, I must said I'm dissapointed... if I compared it to Morrowind.
Maybe if a wouldn't have played Morrowind prior to Oblivion, my opinion would be different. But the fact is that I don't "feel" the game, I can't dive in it.
I must say Morrowind is in my top 5 games ever. Morrowind grab me inmediately from the very first time I played it. I've never played Arena or Daggerfall, and maybe that's is also a reason to love Morrowind.
I find Morrowind deeper, wider and more convincing. It has more spells (althought I'm not a magic fan), more guilds, more topics and more uncertainty. In Morrowind you need to search for a location following clues and landmarks, with no map references at all, not like the pseudo exploration featured in Oblivion.
In Morrowind is easier to screw a quest up, basically because you have more choices, and thus, you must be more carefull.
It seems to me that Oblivion is more like a one way stream script quests.
Has anyone the same feeling as me? Don't get me wrong, Oblivion is a great game, beautiful graphics and all that, but it lacks of "atmosphere".
My choice: part III
