    Choices

What would you prefer to find your 7 year old tomboy daughter playing with.

Warning, a shrink could likely bore you for a full day explaining things about your answer.

Me on the other hand, I merely thought up this as today's odd thread from Les.

I have no specific reason (at least I don't buy imaginary real estate for 10s of thousands of dollars though hehe).

Picked the Popular Mechanics thingy. Possible engineer in the making, and I can help her with her homework.
    1. Even if you could make something idiot proof they would just go out and build a better idiot.

    2. The road to hell is paved by a hard working asphalt crew of meddlesome legislators...

    3. Donkey poop and elephant poop don't smell too much different from one another. It's all poop....

I'd rather see my grand daughter play with a big Lego set to get her imagination going and begome an engineer like her dad and also read a lot of books... too many kids are sitting in front of their damn tv/x box set working their little fingers but nothng else.

There is a commercial that is played up here ..."If you dont play your video games you wont go to college" ...May the Gods help us if this is the case for the next generation.

Note.. If I am still here when she is old enough I will teach her how to shoot, camp and look after herself in the woods. plus handel a sail boat and a power boat then teach her how to fly and maintain her own plane

    per ardua ad astra..

PS... Screw the shrinks most of them are off their heads anyway

I chose the air rifle. I can borrow it for myself, while she goes in the kitchen and learns how to cook from her grandmother.
    Not really.
Any of the things listed would be fine with me. Remember, I'm one of the liberals around here and she will eventually find her way.
I need to cut this short.
I need to go hug a tree.

Well it certainly wasn't going to be the "chemistry set." From age 10 to 12 I didn't have eyebrows.

Although my son has two BB guns, I can't say it isn't without regret (sorry, Mrs. Bailey).

BTW, I must protest your labeling GI Joe as a "doll."

    He's an ACTION FIGURE!!!

So when does Mrs. Bailey's cat get out of the hospital, anyway?

I said chemistry set, for many of the same reasons some of you all picked the legos and such. My engineering background is more chemical in nature, but I think it's the same. Besides, I already went through the "no eyebrows" phase with my oldest daughter- she went and shaved them off, as well as her eyelashes! (Don't ask) Some type of teenage fashion experiment gone bad....What's a Dad to do? At least it all grew back, and she learned her lesson.
