    Thumbs up Recruiting Slogans

What recruiting slogans stand out for you?

My favorites have always been from the Marines, but a few others have stood out.

I always got a kick out of "It's not just a job, it's an adventure.", which SNL parodied with "It's not just a job, it's $2.50 an hour." (or some such small number.)

I can't stand "An Army of One." Lessens the teamwork aspect.

Anyway, I saw one on a poster last night, for the Navy, which read, "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of anyone who threatens us." Wonderful.

The few...the proud...The Marines. Says it all.
"Exitus acta probat"(The ends justify the means)

That quote from the movie called, "In The Army Now" - That movie is too funny.

Eh, i know it's not recruiting slogans, but hell it's funny.

Among all of the Marine slogans, there are 4 others I fondly recall.

One goes back to WW I, if not ealier, "Go tell it to the Marines!"

"We never promised you a rose garden." I can still picture the DI, with eyes popping, mouth wide open, screaming in the recruit's face. All I have to do is close my eyes, and it all comes back...

Then there was, "We're looking for a few good men with the meddle to be Marines." Great campaign.

More recently, "The change is forever." How true!

"Do work that has a meaning." FDF personell recruiting slogan. There's no lack of conscripts but I've heard that they need more contract soldiers and regular people.

I always though... "The Few. The Proud. The Marines." Was the one that stood out... The "Be all you can be." campaign is sooo much better than "An Army of One." They spin it all on the individual though. At first I thought "An Army (of individuals acting) [as] One" Guess I was wrong.

Iron Mike, I still remember well on that Poster called "We never promised you a rose garden" and I wish I had that poster because it was really was the first USMC poster I ever saw when I was small.

Here's more USMC Recruiting Poster Slogans

"Superior thinking has always overwhelmed superior force."
"We'd promise you sleep deprivation, mental torment, and muscles so sore
you'll puke, but we don't like to sugar-coat things."
"Nobody likes to fight. But somebody has to know how."

and here's a good one that I thought why Marines didn't have a Football.

"Ever wonder why the Marines don't have a Football team like the Army, Navy, or Air Force? We're here to protect a country, not a quarterback."
