    Steel Panthers IV

    As has already been posted on some other Steel Panthers related forums, it seems the guys over at 2by3Games are mentioning something called Steel Panthers IV. In the latest Developer Journal area of their website this was posted;

"Mike will continue to spend some time patching WitP, but will transition over the next few months to work primarily on Eastern Front. Keith will continue to be our technology guru, and will assist both Gary and Mike while they work on these two projects. He'll also invest some of his time to look into some new ideas that we have regarding a project which we all hope to get to in 2006 or 2007, Steel Panthers IV."
Here is the direct link 2by3Games and SP IV

    I've been noticing this comment.

SP1 was of course WW2 and SP2 was obviously modern.

SP3 was the multi unit brigade version (which I wish ran more cooperatively on my system).

If SPIV could be anything to me at all, it would be what SP1 and SP2 would be if put together.

Or in other words, what Combat Leader has promised to be, eventually, in pieces, spread over several modules.

All I can say, if they hope to release it in 2005-6, great, if they plan to fuss over it for several years AFTER 2006, constantly mentioning it will be done when it's done, than all I can say is "shut up" we are tired of hearing that line already

All I really want, is a game as good as SP1 and SP2, bundled together and made with the idea that Windows XP actually exists and is the current norm for computers of P4 calibre.

And I sure hope it isn't in 3d, or my interest in said game ends here.

What would be really cool is SP1, SP2 and SP3 combined! SP from WWII to Modern and able to be played at both Individual scale units (SP1/SP2) and Platoon scale units (SP3). Something where the base unit size could be set in the preferences.

Now that would be amazing and worth its weight in gold.

Well, the company is called 2by3 (ww2 games by three guys),so I think your looking at strickly a WW2 game here **sighs**, windows MBT sounds better to me.

Combat Leader (another ww2 game),I wont believe it is modern warfare till I see it. This is a really slow to develop game...

All things considered, I am pumped for what SP Camo might do in 2005 for our precious Steel Panthers.

SP IV sounds cool, but I am kinda leery about getting "too" excited about yet another maybe game.

    SP Camo delivers.

That in itself is will motivate my attention in 2005.

What's vexing, is we (fans), are the only ones talking about this game.

I wish Mike Wood we get around to explaining what the heck they are thinking about here.

Hi Aires, I'd try not to get to excited about it,after all they "hope" to get to it. It's a back burner item at this time, hopefully one day it will get done and give us all high quality steel panthers battles in a wide range of theaters and years. I am not holding my breath though
