Possibly. Let me take a look at it to see if I can handle such a monster game. Would it be fair to say the Russian side would need less of a time commitment than the German side? At least in the beginning?

Definitely yes - six turns played as Soviet until now, not really that time consuming: run, dig in, run, dig in, counter-attack, run, dig-in ad lib.
    Fais ce que dois.

But beware, from about T20 onward, I think the Russian side becomes more labor intensive as the reinforcements start to flow and one has to set up for the big offensive. It's even more intensive if you are the type of player that worries about reforming broken down units as they reconstitute.
Just nod if you can hear me.

Quite alright (I usually don't reform units). My main concern is learning the scenario...which I can usually do on the fly as long as I am the defender. I think this will be perfect!

If Siberian Heat can't defend against it maybe nobody could?

Braunschweig is not that big compare to DnO. I used to spending more time playing Soviet in DnO than playing German in Braunschweig. There are only two main fronts in Braunschweig, Stalingrad and Baku, and the map is not that complicated. DnO is a bit overwhelming, and you can get lost quite easily. I know I do.
