    Re: SPW 251/10 & M3A1 Halftrack - inherent SW ?

I think that claiming possesion by PASSENGERS is clearly done while being transported IN the vehicle, and so, while PASSENGERS may take the SW and use it. Once the unloading cost is declared, the personnel is not more a passenger -at least not for to hit purposes- and so the act of claiming the weapon must be clearly done BEFORE to declare the unloading process. I think also that if transporting full capacity the SW CANNOT be possesed by the PASSENGERS, and they have to unload something first to allow any space for this weapon.

I think you declare that you are taking the SW without as you unload - i.e., the declaration to unload is done simultaneously as the declaration to take the SW with you.

Doesn't seems to me that a Passenger can take possession of the SW without unloading at the same time.

Same thing with the AAMG->dmHMG in the SPW 250/sMG & 251/sMG halftracks.

The rules uses the term Remove which I think is something you do as you exit the vehicle.

    Found it.

    C13.8-.81, D2.6 & D6.1

    1) Several models of HT come equipped with removable BAZ or PSK. May Passengers, or the vehicle Crew, make attacks with these weapons (while Passengers/Crew), before these weapons have been removed via Unloading/Abandonment?
    A. Only the inherent crews of those vehicles to which U.S. Multi-Applicable Vehicle Note Z applies (e.g., German 251/10, U.S. M3A1 ht and M20 sc, British Carrier C, and French M5A1 ht) can do this.

The MGs may be used while mounted so no sense to remove before to dismount. This BAZ/PSK are different. I think rule is not clear but the last Q&A you found resolve fortunately the question. Of course, I donŽt like this answer, but I thank you a lot for finding it... as usual.

I hope to give you some good spanish wine if weŽll meet again in Italy.

I think you could get RoF it is fired as a LMG (dm HMG) as opposed to a non-MA AAMG, but there might be other disadvantages, that I can't think of now.

I hope the offer is not limited to Italy.

Next time I go to Italy, I will bring some Swedish aquavit.
