    Re: Wire obstructing Rowhouse "bypass"?

Just placed a Q with Perry:

"Hi. I have a question on Rowhouse bypass and wire (A.3, B23.71, B26.44)

A4.3 says: "A hexside forming a part of a Wire Location, .... , may not be Bypassed (B26.44) on either side of the hexside; ...."
B26.44 says "Non-vehicular Bypass of any hexside that is part of a hex containing Wire is not allowed."

Q: May a unit use Rowhouse "bypass" to move from the ground level of one Rowhouse hex to the next, if the third hex sharing the common vertex (to which LOS may be traced B23.71) contains wire?

    Regards,
    Olav "

    Got this from Perry tonight.

Q: May a unit use Rowhouse "bypass" to move from the ground level of one
Rowhouse hex to the next, if the third hex sharing the common vertex (to
which LOS may be traced B23.71) contains wire?

    Yes.

    Yes.

This answer does not give guidance to the application of other wire rules such as having to spend MP to go under the wire and advance phase movement as well

Perry is almost always very limited with his answers sticking to a yes/no wherever possible. If you want more you need to submit a more detailed question.

What other part of the Wire rules could come into effect, regarding a rowhouse "bypass" ? (I don't see how "expending-MF-to-move-beneath-a-Wire" could come into effect, but perhaps I'm missing something).

    Re: Wire obstructing Rowhouse "bypass"?

The unit doesn´t enter the wire hex, so no need to spend MPs to move Inside this wire hex.
IMO a clear answer to a very important question.

Thanks a lot to B. Litz.
