Why reinvent the wheel? Talk to Brett and get his list of minis and the scenarios from the past few years. Also, he should be able to tell you what scenarios were fairly balanced.

The first ASL "event" I ever attended was the Combat Leader tournamentat the 1987 Origins that featured the Mischon-Suchar classics Gavin Take, Puma Prowls, Ranger Stonghold, and Shklov's Labors Lost. Twenty-five years later, you will be hard pressed to beat that combination.

I was there also. My first tourney as I love to point out was COI at Widener University ('79 Origins) where I lost to Bob MacNamara in "Delaying Action". Those were the days of short scenarios where most players relied on luck to win so if you actually brought some skill into the mix, you were on your way. Witness Bill Conner, a consistent winner back in the day.
