The forum hasn't been updated in quite a long while, but it's been even longer since the style templates were updated. The style templates are several years old (at least) and are not fully compatible with the version of vBulletin currently powering the forum, which can cause a variety of annoying issues. We need to update to the latest build and then I need to create a new style based off the default template to ensure everything is working the way it is supposed to.
