    Your Favorite SCW Scenarios

    Hi ya-

Having played just recently flangist Pride, it got me thinking, what are people favorite Spanish Civil War scenarios. The SCW is such a cool theater of operations for many reasons, its basically your crappy stuff vs my crappy stuff lol. Anyway, here are some of my Fav SCW scenarios in no perticular order:

    1. Flangist Pride
    2. Italian Brothers
    3. Ay Carmela
    4. Far from Home
    5.Noi Siamo Italiani di Garibadi

    Well those are my favs.

A72 should be on everyone's "play" list. Its definite 'classic', and damn fun to play , too!

I like the VC, with the time sensitive points scoring, the OB's, the map was exciting as it was all still new to me and I won on the last CC by withdrawing a squad from melee under the bridge, having killed the PZ I that had been sat on it (only MMC in the hex), so winning. I'd play it again.

There should be a proper SCW pack. It's a rich seam as yet hardly mined by a credible producer. After the Russian Civil War stuff that LFT produced (which is great stuff BTW) anything is possible.

Also a fan of the Russian Civil War pack from LFT. Is there a VASL module for the new units yet?

Will, I don't think there is. Which is a pity. Played three of the scenarios from it and had a blast each and every time.
As for the SCW, being of Portugese descent, I have a real interest in it. I would like to see it given good treatment at some point as well. I didn't have any grief with the CH module on the topic. I had fun playing alot of the scenarios. Still, would love to see MMP or BFP or LFT give it a try. Very interesting period.

    Hi ya Carl-

I think you will be super pleased by the 2nd edition of Guarra Civil, alot of bang for the buck, some reallt=y really great scenarios that capture the essance of the SCW. A bunch of us are hammering away to get some of these scenarios into better shape, all of them are 1936-37 scenarios and there is still more to mine in those years as well as 1938 to 39. As real plus, the counters are in close to official format, so no more having to scratch ones head when tooling around in those paper thing AC's.

So if your tired of eastern front armor bash's or surrounded and starving Germans or Russians, get the SCW pack, and expaireince low odds warfare at its best.

Had to go to ROAR to see what A72 was. I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine when people don't post the scenario name, number and publisher, because I can't tell what they're talking about and whether or now I own the scenario.

    And yes, it's a classic.
