No tank could be that small, that fast, have that powerful of a gun and armor so hard to penetrate. Just crazy to be in a 1935 designed tank vs. that fantasy Developers tank.

Although I'm sure there will be WoWP matches of ME262's vs. Gladiators...

I got my hands full as it is with the tanks. Got an IS-7 finally.

How could they NOT have a British Tree?
What would be the point of WWII plane game without the Brits?

Although like you said they might be holding them back as premium & their "money makers."

Never had a problem with the WOT lack of significant British tanks. With the exception of the Crocodile (they don't "do" flamethrowers) and the Firefly, which is after all just a junker Sherman with a good gun the Brits never fielded a really winning AFV. Planes however... we had real performance. Mosquito was a class leader. Spitfire right up there. Hurricane not to shabby for 1940 and so on. Gloster Meteor.

We'll see. I signed up for Alpha.

    Re: World of Warplanes Announced

I'm "in" the Beta testing for WoWP and in two words, I SUCK.

I'm so bad that I no longer even bother to fire it up even after I bought a new joystick (over uisng the mouse) thinking that would help.
But nope, I still can't fly worth a darn or hit a thing: although I was pretty good at exploding & being shot down.

The game must do what it's supposed to do as I had my sons give it a try and they were soon shooting down planes left & right. (dang youth!)
It looks to be a good game just not for me. I'll stick with World of Tanks & keep my feet closer to the ground for now, in that I'm pretty good.

    Re: World of Warplanes Announced

Looks like a launch date has been set:

World of Warplanes release date announced, alongside Gamescom trailer

World of Warplanes is set to leave beta next month, on September 26th in both North America and Europe. More than 100 different aerobatic marvels are expected for launch; including aircraft models from United States, Germany, Russia, Japan and Britain.
I am really curious to see if this catches on like fire as with WoT.

    Trailer:

A big patch was also released today. I am glad because the last patch introduced all sorts of poor performance issues for me. Hope the game goes back to being buttery smooth again.

I didn't end up playing World of Warplanes. Those members of my World of Tanks Clan who tried it and "War Thunder," reckon the latter is greatly superior.

All things considered, that was my impression, too. WoW is fun, and I like how it closely resembles WoT in its control scheme, etc, but I found WT to be a far more impressive sim. Make me wonder what happens to WoT when the WT crowd releases their tank game too!
