They said that they dumped - excuse me, "buried" - the body in the sea. If it's true, conspiracy theories will have their day.

I know what I'm saying. After 10 IV 2010, the catastrophe of our president, there was theory that Russians installed giant horseshoe magnet to pull the Tu-152 to the ground. I'm not kidding, many people believe in it.

yup, knew this would be a conspiracy theorists' nocturnal emission as soon as the words 'buried at sea" hit the wire....

You'd be surprised what people in this (people are people right?) country are willing to believe or reject out of hand...

I mean this current guy can't do a thing right working around the clock

It is interesting what people believe. I am in Malaysia at the moment, and the local english newspaper (which the hotel provides free each day) had an editorial that suggests that Bin Laden was not killed by the recent action, but in fact has been dead since 2001, where he was either killed by US bombing, or as a result of the destruction of his dialysis machine.

The theory suggests that his death in 2001 was hushed up because it was not in the west's interest to disclose it at the time because they wanted to take further action against Islamic fundamentalist groups in the middle east and around the world. The paper had all sorts of "facts" to back up the claim.

As far as conspiracy theorys go, they put a lot of effort into it. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for this theory to hit the western media.
