Hi All -

When I put the FB maps together the overlap is off by about 4 hexes. I don't have any problems with normal boards. I've...

Downloaded the most recent maps from Dlazov's site

Used both 5.9.2 and 5.9.3

Tried all the combinations of 2 and 4 maps

Tried putting them together in different order (i.e., "added row" and grabbed NW first, then added NE)

Any other ideas/help?
Thanks,

Was finally getting around to playing some FB and my partner and I noticed that there were some fairly off-center los strings on the VASL map. Normally this would not be a big deal and we'd try to eyeball it. However, we did string from H28 to L37 lvl 1 and it was substantially off center making it impossible to eyeball, although it looked solidly blocked the way it strings. For yucks we compared the LOS on the real map and to our surprise it was as clear as day...very sneaky! Can this be queued up for a fix?

Also we noted that our two los strings on vasl were not identical. Is that maybe a 5.9.2 vs. 5.9.3 difference?

Thanks!
I got all the maps, overlays, extensions, etc for the github repository as a single zip which I believe advertised as having the latest of everything.
Bit confused...

Hey Guys- ran into some issues trying to get some Into The Rubble scenarios set up for VASL- There are overlay zip files available on the Bounding Fire website. If you "save target as" and download the compressed file, are you supposed to rename the file with all its contents and move it to the overlay folder in your VASSAL/VASL setup or are you to to extract the contents and place in the folder? Reason I ask is that for a number of those folders there are multiple files included that I assume are used for specific terrain alterations. For example ovrBFPHI has 15 files inside not just the overlay- having trouble believing I haven't run into this before but there it is... Any help would be appreciated.

1) Is it possible to change the orientation of the boards so that they're vertical rather than horizontal?
2) Is there a mechanic or preferred method of doing 'simultaneous setup' in VASL?
3) I have seen some nice turn turn record charts used than include the SAN and ELR numbers in the board layout. I can't seem to figure out how these were set up. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to set up VASL for the past few days and I have it installed along with extensions, maps so on and so forth then here comes my problem.

I try to step up a scenario or try to place markers for like prep fire or DM it only lets me drag and drop one counter then wont let me place anything else at all

here is an example.
I place a DFP counter and then go to drop a residual fire counter and it won't let me,

another example I place a American 667 and then try to place say a 747 and it won't let me

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi all!

In the last weeks I developed a new extension for VASL that gathers together the more frequently used ASL counters in a confortable window toolbar: QuickCounter (QC.mdx).

1.PNG

To create a new counter of a given type, a player needs just to select a counter or a stack on the VASL map and click one of the toolbar buttons: the specified counter will be created on the top of the already existing counters.

2.PNG3.PNG4.PNG

Some toolbar buttons are actually a cascading menu, but the workings is the same.

Hi

5 min ago the server went down. It seems like the downtimes are increasing rapidly and I am wondering if we could pool some cash and move the server in question to a commercial server hotel that do monitoring and updates?

WHat would be cost and are others together with me willing to contribute cash for this purpose? Who owns the server btw and where is it located anyway?

Another option would be a redundancy solution.
