Such a great time to be a gamer. I just finished Assassin's Creed 2 for the Xbox, and besides a few annoyances, the game is excellent. I would go as far as to say that AC2 is the model of how to make squeals, it's that good. I dropped AC2 in the mail today so hopefully I will get the next game on my Gamefly Q which is Prototype. Next up for me is Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising for the PC, a game that I have been looking forward to since it has been announced. I played through DoW II last week in preps for Chaos Rising, but made the mistake of trying out AC2 while waiting for Chaos ...
This is my personal list of the top 5 games on xbox live arcade.... 5 Worms Developer: Team 17 Release Date: 3/7/2007 This cartoon strategy shooter came to live arcade on March 7, 2007 and has brought me hilarious action since. What is particularly impressive about Microsoft's overall console effort to date is the flexibility the company has shown in its design approach vs. the approach taken by Sony with the PS3. It needs to be pointed out that Microsoft is a software company by trade while Sony is a hardware company. One ...
What is your earliest gaming memory? I suspect that for most boys it probably is Cowboys & Indians. Oh sure, the specific name might change according to time and place (i.e., “Cops & Robbers” or “Escape from Robot Pirate Island”), but the gameplay is the same: Team A must defeat Team B in some sort of simulated combat. I used to love that game. My favorite weapon was a red and white plastic Winchester rifle with a working lever action. When I think of all the battles that rifle and I saw over ...
You know, as a guy who usually plays the types of games that the rest of the world never hears about, I have been enjoying the big media push behind Fallout 3. At long last, I can say that I part of the crowd! From Fallout 3’s Washington Metro ad campaign, to the many commercials airing on various networks (not just G4!), it has been fun to watch a PC game garner some respect. And now there’s this: ...
