My first post on the forum was in May of 2001. Hard to believe it was that long ago.
Where does the time go?
The last few weeks have been stressful but fun. Waiting for the baby, working out a lot, trying to sell my house -- all of it has combined to make for a very busy schedule. The other day I was shaving my head and cut myself for about the 10,000th time. I don't mind not having hair, but I don't like walking around looking like I got dive-bombed by a hungry falcon.
So I decided to give the new Headblade a try. If you haven't heard about this yet, it's supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread for bald guys. You just pop in a fresh blade and the Headblade clips onto your finder,
Stepping outside your door is a dangerous business and there's no telling where you might end up. Of course, you could just hunker down, pull the blankets over your head and stay at home. But apparently that can be a dangerous business as well! Radbabe and I are scheduled to have a little girl at the end of this month. This will be her first baby and, considering neither of us is 20 any more, she's handled the whole process very well. But I think it's fair to say she's had enough of being pregnant and is ready to get this show on the road.

Been out of action for over a week with a separated rib. Ribs are nasty because no matter what you do you can't get comfortable and an injured rib makes it hard to breathe. To add insult to injury, they take forever to heal as there isn't much you can do for them except rest.
But I don't want to rest.
Just fired up the new PC I built and finished installing Windows 7 (64 bit version). It feels a lot different than Vista and I can tell it's going to take some time to get used to. But all things being equal, so far it seems like a pretty nice operating system. The only problem I've encountered so far is that STALKER: Call of Pripyet didn't want to install due to a DX9 issue, which I was able to fix.
