REN OOB Experiment

Got my copy of REN in the mail today and decided to try something.

I took Army List 3.oob and made some changes to combine pike and arquebus shot into one big unit.

I used Z - it's taken by spear, but since this is an optional OOB it won't be used as Turks are the only ones who use spears I think.

This is my line detail:
U 1500 5 Z Z 9 9 1 1 12 20 3 Combined Pike/Shot

Tested and worked OK. In the PDT I took the arquebus stats and dropped them by one point...and Block has lower firing than line as it is. The results were encouraging.

A question for Rahamy though: Can I use a different weapon letter as all 26 are taken! Can I use a number or symbol instead?

Ummm very interesting thing, if can create new weapons is possible create an AP weapon (pike-arcabuz) with many subvariants simulating the proportion of pike arcabuz... a Tercion could be form by 2 1.250 pikearcabuz units and 2 250 arcabuceros units.

No, you would have to replace an existing weapon - which would effect the entire game. You can do it in the weapons.dat file & the PDT.

Hmm, is there a weapon that is rarely used in a Western European context?
