Again, still reading through the rulebook (for like the 8 or 9th time), and came across this question in the Comprehensive Rout Example (p. A27, 4th full paragraph).

"It elects to rout to R3, expending 3MF via rowhouse bypass at the S3/R3/S4 vertex."

According to A10.5, however, "Broken units may not use Bypass (4.3)."

If that is true as I read it, the unit would have to be eliminated for failure to rout as was the guy in N3.

... Infantry in a Rowhouse may move/rout/advance/Withdraw-from-CC directly into another Rowhouse hex of the same building only at the ground or Rooftop (23.8) level; ... The rest of the rules paragraph has the mechanics on what happens on that focal point if you do move through it.

Thanks. Now that you mention it, I probably should have continued on to the rowhouse rules after reading that....
