I have been Working on a Eckmuhl 3DMOD but I to admit I have run into a lot of weird 3D mapping in the stock OOBís, so much so that have stopped working on this MOD. Maybe sometime in the near future, though that is probably unlikely.

That's a shame because what you have done is looking good.

Yeah, I think that's a real shame. I noticed in another message that you were moving on because not enough people had fed back their appreciation for your work. You're quite right - I include myself as someone who downloads stuff and doesn't always say what they're feeling - that the creator should be thanked for their efforts.

Well, if you do move on I shall be sad - your Waterloo graphics are a complete delight and are so reminiscent of a miniatures game that I would find it hard to play another game from the series without the same graphics. Thanks for everything you've done.

Regards

Andy

Ok, what is so wierd about the OB codes I gave for the 3d files? I am not offended but your message makes it sound like I made an error.

If its the way that the bases show up in the game that is beyond my control but I would very much like to help you with this project.

My apologies if I havent responded to your updates.

Going to try and finish this but Iím having trouble identifying over 15 sprites. I donít have the Wagram game so maybe those sprites numbers show up in those oobís. So if you would like this 3DMod I need somebody 2 zip up all the oobís files from both Wagram and Echmuhl and put them up in download section. Once I download it you can then delete the file. Thnks

Iíll answer this at this time. First Iíd like to say I am only trying to enhance the game nothing else. What I found weird was the way the 3d unit assignments changed from one oob to the other or in other words inconsistent. Mainly this happens within the French part of the oob dealing with allied type units (sax, bav, wurt, etc. ). In one oob a unit may be assigned say 11 and in another oob that very same unit would have a different number like 24. To help explain Iíll show some oob snapshots.

In this picture Saxon Artillery units were assigned 12

Same type Unit, different oob assigned 10.

Another oob now assigns 10 to Hess-Darmstadt

Also found 9 infantry sprites not assigned to anybody ( 9, 12, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31) yet some spites were assigned to multiple units with nothing in common.

In this sample, French Sappers were assign 24

24 assigned to Neuchatel Bn

Saxon

http://ezjax.zoomshare.com/files/images/24-2Sax.gif

In another oob same saxons are now 11

Anyway there are a lot of examples like this and thatís why I called it weird because I was having a hard time figuring out what was what and it was driving me crazy........
