What are the names of the various types of artillery ammunition used by the British Army. I believe they are similar to the US types, but have different names.
Ammo types for the L118.
L31 = HE
L42 = Hesh
L51 = Smoke
Rounds for the AS90 Braveheart to follow. What other artillery systems are you modelling?
Gary
Missed out the L43A2 Illum for the L118.
AS90 ammunition,
L15A2 = HE
M549 = HERA
M116 = Smoke
M864 = DPICM
M485A2 = Illum

Thanks for the information Gary. :D
At the moment, I'm focusing on the FV432 81mm mortar carrier, L118, AS-90, and MLRS.
Many thanks for your assistance.
Hi D
L16A1 81mm Mortar
L15A3 = HE
L19A4 = Smoke
to the best of my knowledge the MLRS rounds have the same designations as the US rounds.
Hope this all help.
