Hereís something I was messing around with 3D100 mixed with 3D50. Those French Attack columns look nice I think, just not sure this could work.

I was messing around with something similar, for the 50 scale. Yours look better. I got them on map in line and column, but as you can see from two different types of columns, couldnt decide which I liked better. (Too bad there's only one type of column.)
As the icons do not change as a result of casualties or detached skirmish companies, I decided the effort at creating more realistic 3d icons was senseless.
Here's a peek, anyway. Davout approaches Rastinbon. Infantry in line in front, in column, second line.

That looks really good...let us know how it progresses!

rahamy,
Thanks for your help. This effort, to make men look proportional to buildings may be more achievable at 100 than 50 scale. I was thinking in terms of the old Talonsoft 3d zoom out (improved). It is tricky, getting stacking right. Also, as a 3d infantry icon will look the same, whether it represents 100 or 1,000 men, though it will look better proportionally, it can be very inaccurate.
It is interesting to look at such efforts and wonder what if,,,,,though....

I also was thinking along the lines of 50m hex, but I think thatís only because Iíve been brainwashed from playing Steel Pantherís War-game to much, but I did start War-Gaming with 15mm Napoleonic Miniatures along time ago and this reminds me of those days. Anyway Iím still new to this system and I am just seeing what it can do because I like this game and have a lot tweak type ideas.

I do have a off topic question dealing with Parameter Data : Weapons
Is the last number shown the max range of that weapon type? In the example picture is 16 the max range.

Great game rahamy Thanks

Thanks, Merry Christmas Back. I probably will push out a 3D Micro Minnie Mod (3DMMM).This scale seems to work, only downside Iím seeing are Skirmisherís are hard to see sometimes, Flags may have to be always on and base stands will not line proportionally to units but other than that all seems ok.

Wow..Very nice work, can't wait to see the end results.

Would love to see those talents put to use for the 1776 game graphics also.:)

This is a quick attempt at some 1776 units. I probably can do all periods Civil War, 1776, Napoleonic but I donít have any other HPS games other than Waterloo. I may get the Russian Campaign next, not sure yet. I am kind of waiting to see what Matrix Games is going to do with the old BG Series. If they improve the system over HPS Iíll go with them, but if they just repackage the same old system and slap a new label on it then Iíll say here.

When added with Chomskyís MOD you get this effect. Believe it or not the French is the AI, with some script help.

Chomsky’s MOD helps make the difference. Thanks Chomsky. The Units have been done for awhile now, I have just been checking out something’s. I will say its not easy making something like this from the outside looking in but I only ran into 2 notable problems.

There are 3D Mapping Errors in the stock OOB’s that is Mod Helps bring out, mostly only a Grognard type will notice but others will stand out like French Lancer’s in the Prussian OOB.
Base Stands for Cavalry, Artillery, Leaders, and routing Infantry all share the same tile. This kept me from making some nice on / off stands for these so I improvised.Anyway a dummied down demo of this mod is HERE (http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1355). If someone sees a problem pls let me know.

I'm a member of the NWC but keep an eye on this forum too. I just had to stop by and say that this mod looks absolutely superb. I've been playing with Rolf Hall's ACW mods (Rolf Hall's Corinth Graphics (http://www.brettschulte.net/ACWCGDC/rolfhallGraphics.htm)) for a while and have been waiting for something like that for the Napoleonic games for a long while.:toast:

Thanks, Some people will like it some wont. Its just demo but should work with all stock OOB's but everybody makes mistakes. Not everything worked the way I wanted but you have to start somewhere. Didnít know about that Civil War Thanks 4 Info more MODs the better. Later
