future new psp owner

I am reading some of these threads about the diffrent firm ware ver. I am not aware of what the diffrences are. Can some one please explain.:up:
I have not yet purchased one and would like to know which to look for. I do want to be aboe to surf with it and store diffrent things ie movies and games on the card.

1.5 = homebrew and pirate games
1.52 = minor security updates
2.0 = webbrowser
2.01 = security update
2.5 = location free support
2.6 = rss feeds and wma play enabled

I dont know if i can chage questions or not but here we go. chaging the wall papers is that avail on all vers? how do you get homebrew or programs like that and where can you get the games and such.

homebrew, just search psp homebrew on google and you can do wallpapers on 2.0, but you can use a thing called psp personalize for 1.5 but its a bit tricky

hay i just downloaded and installed the psp video 9 program. It come up with some myth program and thats says it is unable to find some ace file I close that and the program continues to install. when it is done it it says ther was an error application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135
