View Full Version : Matrix Games gains WWII Online
Just dropping a quick alert that WWII Online is now under the competent control of Matrix Games, and not the money grubbing callous indifferent mangled support of %$^%#$# First.

Hello,
I think it's about high time for WWII Online to come under such competent gaming company. I am glad about this.
I play that online game a lot. I love it, it's realistic and very steep learning curve, but once you get past it, it's a lot of fun!!!
I belong to Axis side, 1st Lithunasuian Brigade. I usually play in armor -- my favorite is Pz38t, it's great tank for ambushing bigger and powerful French and British tanks.

I wonder if Matrix Games is not going a little Megalomaniac, they have so many grand projects (Grigsby's War in the Pacific, World in Flames, now WWII Online,) that I wonder sometimes  . They are getting all the games around and soon the only competition left will be HPS.
hey hey what about battlefront combat mission probably sold more than all matrix games combined
I have no way to confirm that CM statistic myself.
But then, Matrix Games used as it's flagship the Steel Panthers World at War program which is free. Now if Matrix Games had gotten an equal price (same dollar value as a copy of CM that is) for every download of Steel Panthers WaW, then Matrix Games would likely have the funds to buy Battlefront hehe.
I don't doubt that CM is a good selling title though.
As it stands, Matrix Games has done rather well in just the 4 years I have known of its existence.
I can hope that Battlefront does well with its product line, and CM 2 will no doubt be meeted by aggressive sales, but I think it will have to work to stay ahead of Matrix Games if it is indeed ahead currently.
