Intutive Fire Procedure Roll a d20 to determine hit, another to determine kill. Factors considered are range, ammunition type, movement of firer/target, gun, armor, hit location, target size, etc. There are optional rules if you want to play with artillery, flamethrowers, or even anti-tank guided missiles. The d20 is really a abbreviation of percentages: a chance of 60% means your roll must be =< 12, etc.
Quasi Real-time Play Players take turns in activating individual units; the Overwatch rule means the opposition may fire on you as you move.
The Downside The core rulebook contains a very limited number of euipment stats for each nations and you have to either buy the databook or create you own stats - not very difficult, because all the stats for armor are in centermeters: an armor of 80mm thick would translate as 8 in the game. Also, the price is a bit high considering all you really need is 12 pages (out of 168) + the tables. The solution is to share the rules with someone you play with.
