Rank in forum posts?

Well, maybe i did not notice something but i cannot find the reason. In the CMB ladder i am private (well not a high rang :) but in the forum posts, it shows raw newbie rank. Is the rank in the forum based on number of the posts, or it is taken from ladders? If it is taken from the ladders, why is no my rank displayed correct, should i switch something in my profile? Thanks in advance for the answer.

Your Forum rank is based on the number of postings you have made (excluding posts in the Current Events areas), and has no connection to your standing on the Ladder.

Take me for an example - I'm a 5-Star General in here, but I'm the lowest of the low on the Ladder (because I've only recorded one result).
